Next Iron Chef Super Chefs Makes Me Smile Inside

If you’re a food TV fan like myself, you too must have squealed in joy a few months ago when you saw the preview for the newest season of Next Iron Chef: Super Chefs. The program is great on it’s own, but when you throw in 10 celebrity chefs who most of us Food Network junkies love, it’s the perfect recipe.

My fiance and I like to try a lot of these chef’s restaurants if and when we can. We also rely on Food Network for restaurant recommendations from their shows like The Best Thing I’ve Ever Ate and Throwdown With Bobby Flay. We’ve been lead to some really great and delicious places such as The Stanton Social and Taim Falafel and Smoothie Bar. We’ve also been led astray to places like Chinatown Brasserie which was a sad attempt at upscale Chinese, yuck. I’m not linking you, sorry.

Getting back to the Next Iron Chef, which is why we’re all here. I was excited to see the first episode when the chef’s were introduced as were their restaurants. For instance, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian has always caught my eye as a judge on Chopped. His demeanor and food knowledge stood out, not to mention, I find him quite adorable. When he was highlighted as Executive Chef of The National and The Lambs Club my fiance and I immediately went to Google to bring up the restaurants. Let’s just say on our next visit to NYC we plan on stopping by one of Chef Zakarian’s spots. I look forward to reviewing them for you in the future.

We also checked out other restaurants from these super chef’s such as Alex Guarnachellis’s Butter and The Darby, as well as Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster. Let’s just say we’re at no shortage of new places to try.

Are you watching this season of the Next Iron Chef? Who are you rooting for?

I’m rooting for Chef Geoffrey Zakarian!
